Scope of Work:
- The purpose of the Tidal gate is to prevent storm surges from flooding the City of Freeport, TX
- BLASTCO’S custom fabricated barges were used to access for steel repairs, seal replacement, and blasting and painting with 100% containment
Modifications / Repairs:
- Structural steel repairs/replacement
- Safety upgrades
- Removed and replaced the O-Ring seal
- Blasted to SSPC SP6 and applied zinc, epoxy, urethane coating system
