Scope of Work:

• The purpose of the Tidal gate is to prevent storm surges from flooding the City of Freeport, TX
• BLASTCO’S custom fabricated barges were used to access for steel repairs, seal replacement, and blasting and painting with 100% containment

Modifications / Repairs:

• Structural steel repairs/replacement
• Safety upgrades
• Removed and replaced the O-Ring seal
• Blasted to SSPC SP6 and applied zinc, epoxy, urethane coating system
