Blastco is revamping an 11 million gallon Howard Lane Tank for the City of Austin

Check out the aerial shot of Blastco, a TF Warren Company working on the 11 million gallon Howard Lane Tank for the City of Austin. This is a complete rehab removing the existing interior and exterior coatings and applying new coatings including a 100% solids high build coating system for the interior. The project has miscellaneous welding upgrades, electrical upgrades, and a new cathodic protection system.

Tarsco achieves major safety accomplishment

Tarsco reached a very important milestone in November: 1 million work-hours without a recordable injury. Paul Showan, President of Tarsco, announced the very significant achievement to his team and to all of TF Warren Group commenting, "I really appreciate everyone’s efforts to achieve this incredible milestone. Please pass this information along to members of the team who do not have e-mail access and I would like those of us attending year-end dinners to celebrate this achievement. It is something everyone should be proud of. Blastco wins William Johnson Award for industrial coatings work

After successful completion of the Imperial Sugar elevated water tank, Blastco has been selected to receive the William Johnson Award for 2015. The William Johnson Award goes to the contractor that has shown outstanding achievement demonstrating aesthetic merit in industrial or commercial coatings work.

The awards will be given out at the SSPC Annual Meeting and Awards Luncheon at the SSPC Conference featuring Greencoat in San Antonio, TX on Monday, January 18, 2016.

 

 

Blastech aligns with rail industry

Blastech is proud to announce their recent completion of the comprehensive compliance audit by the Bureau of Explosives for initial M-1003 certification.

Over the two day period, Blastech was audited for the organization's quality assurance program, policies, procedures, instructions, and other related documentation to ensure compliance under the provisions of the AAR’s M-1003 Quality Assurance Program; in addition, the M-1002 certification technical inspection was also conducted during the audit. No adverse audit findings were discovered; as such, the recommendation for M-1003 certification has been submitted to the AAR Safety and Operations Division.
