Job Summary:
The Flux Core Welder uses machine welding, hand-welding or flame-cutting equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Required to grind, gouge, cut and prepare joints for welding.
- Perform in-process inspections.
- Consistently produce high quality welds able to pass x-ray and ultrasonic inspections.

Competencies:
- Must be qualified Flux Core Welder
- Must be able to pass applicable weld tests
- Must be proficient in using FCAW welding process and SMAW
- Able to qualify in vertical, horizontal and overhead positions to ASME Section X
- Must be able to work outdoors in harsh weather conditions (Cold/Heat)
- Must be able to climb and perform work at elevation up to 100ft from scaffold and ladders
- Work safely in a hardhat jobsite environment requiring Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Education and/or Experience:
- Tank specific welding process experience is a plus.

- Must be willing to travel
- Project duration is approximately 6 months
