The Burn Bed Operator is responsible for processing flat steel plate to customer specifications.
The principal activities for a Burn Bed Operator are:
- Operation of high definition plasma cutting table, equipped with rotating bevel head and ink marking system
- Work to maintain a safe operation
- Responsible for meeting the overall quality of product
- Work closely with Quality Manager to achieve quality goals
- Ability to read drawings and work with nesting software such as ProNest / Sigma Nest
- Knowledge of the ground storage tank industry
- Written and oral communication skills
- 3-5 years experience preferred
- Previous experience in a fast paced production environment
- Mathematical aptitude
