Brant Corrosion Control is seeking ambitious, hard-working and team-oriented individuals to learn the trade of Rubber Lining and support the growing Blastech Railcar facility.
Our Rubber Liners are responsible for lining the interior of tanks, valves and pipes with rubber sheeting in order to prevent corrosion of the vessel and to minimize contamination, shock, ignition or explosion hazards to contents. Additionally, Rubber Liners will test rubber linings for holes and faulty seams. There is the opportunity for travel in this role!

Responsibilies
- Apply high performance rubber linings to prepared surfaces to meet customer specifications
- Inspect and repair new and existing rubber linings
- Inspect primer application and perform repairs and prepare reports
- Read and understand customer specifications, job cards and drawings
- Work in accordance with applicable health and safety legislation, company policies and quality standards
- Maintain and use various hand and power tools
- Set-up, cut to shape, splice, fit rubber materials to various configurations of equipment
- Ability to perform in the field as a member of a field crew

Rubber Liner Trainee
- Minimum high school education
- Able to read drawings/blue prints, document use, numeracy
- Basic communication skills and working knowledge of English
- Team player
- Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act and safe work practices
- Documentation to travel within Canada, US and internationally - or ability to obtain documentation
- Experience driving a forklift, is an asset
- Experience in construction, carpentry or a related skill, is an asset
Rubber Liner, Experienced
- Minimum high school education
- Able to read drawings/blue prints, document use, numeracy
- Basic communication skills and working knowledge of English
- Team player
- Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act and safe work practices
- Documentation to travel within Canada, US and internationally - or ability to obtain documentation
- Experience driving a forklift, is an asset
- Knowledge of lining systems; unvulcanized, chemically cured, cold bonded
- Knowledge of adhesive bonding systems
- Surface preparation knowledge; fabrication and cleanliness
- Knowledge on curing mechanisms; atmospheric/pressure
- Knowledge of testing requirements; hardness/high voltage
- Strong working knowledge of all application procedures for material suppliers, is an asset
Candidates will have:

Working conditions include:
