Position Summary
The Project Manager is primarily responsible for overseeing all aspects of client projects including setting and maintaining deadlines, assigning responsibilities, monitoring and summarizing progress of project for management and ensuring budgets are adhered to.
Duties and Responsibilities
The following represents the majority of the duties performed by the position, but is not meant to be all inclusive nor prevent other duties from being assigned when necessary.
- Provide estimating and bidding support via historical reports and review of estimates upon job award.
- Prepare requests for engineering and design changes based upon project documents, as well as submit documents to clients for review.
- Receive new projects and arrange pre-job planning and kick-off activities including accounting setup, information sheets, engineering requests, job schedule, and conduct a kick-off meeting.
- Review client HSE requirements, ensure crew member training as applicable, provide safety documentation upon request and ensure proper safety staff on site when needed.
- Request crewmembers be dispatched upon job kick-off.
- Review daily progress reports from the Construction Department, develop revised project schedules and invoice clients by agreed deadlines.
- Track the budget through the project lifecycle including materials, labor, equipment, sub-contractors, etc. and forecast savings and overages weekly.
- Maintain frequent contact with clients throughout the project regarding engineering, changes, progress and safety related items.
- Review and approve all third party invoices for accuracy.
- Work with all internal departments to coordinate the appropriate deliverables, material and equipment needs, client billing and sub-contractor payment.

Education and/or Experience
- A high school diploma or GED certificate required AND
- Experience working in the tank or similar industry recommended.
- A Bachelors degree in engineering or business related field is a plus.
- Any appropriate combination of education and experience.
Skills
An ability to utilize computer hardware and a proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products and e-mail.
Well-developed oral communication skills are required to convey complex technical information accurately to internal and external parties.
Good written communication skills are required for e-mail correspondence, reports and procedures.
Good organization and analytical skills with the ability to efficiently manage workflow and deadlines independently.
Knowledge of bolted storage tanks and terminals in new construction, repair and maintenance.
Knowledge of API 650 and 653 desired.
