What are API 650 tanks?
API 650 is an American standard for welded steel flat-bottomed vertical storage tanks. This standard governs the requirements for tank design, production, welding, inspection, and installation. The storage tank is specified for the oil and gas industry usage to store liquids at atmospheric pressure.
Project Spotlight API 650
Tarsco was responsible for the EPC of ten (10) API-650 fuel storage tanks of various sizes totaling more than 1,125,000 barrels for a confidential client in Mexico, including the deep soils improvement, foundations, tank erection, fire protection, and coatings. All tanks have aluminum geodesic domes with suspended internal floating roofs. Tarsco was also responsible for the logistics and importation of all materials and equipment into Mexico for the successful project execution.
