Responsibilities
- Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, to include assisting with project staffing. Maintains Job Requisition approval, Job Description updates and applicant tracking.
- Conducts new employee orientation, administers pre-employment testing, background and reference checks, as required by policy and procedure.
- Performs benefits administration to include employee enrollment, changes and terminations. Handles employee inquiries and claim issues. Reconciles invoices and submits to accounting for processing.
- Administers the compensation program and maintains performance evaluation schedule.
- Handles employee relations counseling as needed.
- Maintains human resource information systems records, employee records and government required reporting.
- Understands and implements HR policies and procedures.
- Participates in developing HR strategies to support the goals and objectives of the business unit.
- Works closely with business leadership to maintain high employee morale, reduce turnover and support a safe and productive workforce.
- Maintains ongoing knowledge of HR employment law changes.
- Bachelor’s Degree, with preference in Human Resources, Psychology, or Business, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an HR role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Sound knowledge and experience of Employment Law practices.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
- Experience working in Manufacturing and/or Construction Industry preferred.
- Experience with ADP system preferred.
- Professional Human Resources (PHR) Certificate preferred.
